All's Well That Ends Well!

Further to my post 2 days ago regarding the traumas of selling our house, I am pleased to report, that within around 4 working hours we found another buyer!
Houses in our area are quite sought after at the moment, and not only did we find another buyer quickly, we had a bidding war on our hands!!!!
We had a couple who were first time buyers and an investor up against each other. Now, I actually feel bad, because under any other circumstances I would have gone with the first time buyers. I feel quite strongly about the lack of affordable housing for first time buyers, and this is only perpetuated by a wealth of investors in the market buying up property to develop or let. So selling our house to an investor makes me feel like a complete hypocrite!
As I said before, under other circumstances this would have been different. But with our initial buyer pulling out, and us being half way through the purchase of the house we want, we really needed a quick sale. So I whole-heartedly apologise to the first time buyers who really did like our house and were quite upset to have lost out, and I wish them all the luck in the world in finding the right house for them.
On the plus side, our investor buyer seemed to be taking this quite personally as well, and was over the moon when we accepted his offer.
And this all goes to show that things do happen for a reason, because not only are we £3,000 in pocket now, but if our original buyer had not put in an offer when he did, it is possible that we could have missed out on the house we are buying.
Hopefully things should get moving now, as we do not foresee any problems arising from our current buyer.
On another note, I have my audition for our Autumn play this evening. We are putting together a production of "Mixed Doubles", which is a selection of comic scenes all around the theme of marriage, written by various playwrights such as Fay Weldon, Harold Pinter and Alan Aykbourne. It should be a good production with some great parts, so wish me luck!
