Last night's Big Brother highlighted something that I have known for years. Put a group of women in a room together and things will go awry. I have worked in female predominant environments before and have always felt that it is really important to have a good split of men and women. I think the makers of Big Brother are also aware of this, because let's face it, they are always trying to come up with new ways to make the programme more watchable. We are not short of things to get us talking watching these "ladies" every day.
Favourites for me so far (and I stress "so far") would be Chanel and Nicky. Chanel just seems like a nice girl, and kind of makes me laugh when she's crying in the diary room, which is cruel I know. And Nicky seems to be very sensible and I think she has a good way of communicating with people, however, people don't always know how to communicate with her.
Charley, however, I think is a completely loathable human being. The life that she professes to live (although I think this is in doubt, because I reckon she's full of it) is so unbelievably superficial, and it was hilarious the other night when Emily pointed out that she was only name dropping and that that was a bit sad. I don't want to see her leave the house too early, because I like having an excuse to shout at the TV, but I also don't want her to last too long because people like her need to know that they are not as popular as they think they are!
Last night was interesting as well, with the argument over hair straighteners. People's hair is so important to them. Chanel and Emily were arguing over who should use the straighteners first. With Chanel only having to small sections to do, and Emily having a lot of hair, I know that I would get fed up waiting forever for Emily to do her hair, when I knew that mine would only take a minute.
It has to be said though, why were they straightening their hair at 10:30 at night, when they were about to go to bed?
