One Brick (ball) At A Time

After the concert season wraps up, Hessle Theatre will be preparing in earnest for the auditions for next years show. We will be performing Barnum at the New Theatre at the beginning of March 2008.
So in preparation for this I have acquired some juggling balls in an attempt to learn to juggle. I know I'm not the only one, so the chances are we are going to have a hell of a lot of jugglers on stage, either that or after all the effort I won't need to juggle at all. I suppose it'll be a new talent, and I could always hire myself out for children's parties.
I'm not finding this the easiest thing to pick up. A work colleague is teaching me the "box method", where I have to imagine a box in front of me. I apparently should not throw the balls above eye level and should only flick my wrists rather than my elbows. He has me starting with one ball before being allowed to graduate to two. I am having trouble throwing the balls straight up; they either end up going away from me or towards me. I think it may be a while before I'm allowed to use two balls! Maybe I just throw like a girl!
It has to be said though, that with rehearsals for the concerts, and music theory and practical exams looming, I'm not sure where I am going to find all the time to do everything.
On top of this I am going to a read through for our Autumn play tonight.
