Concert Finale

Today begins a rather musical couple of days, starting in around 3 hours time when I have my musical theatre exam. I did manage to get through all three songs without stopping yesterday, so I feel a bit more prepared, but that doesn't take away the nerves. But as everyone says; nerves are a good thing.
Then tomorrow night we have our concert season finale at Toll Gavel Church in Beverley in aid of the Alzheimer's Society. As my friend Richard (AKA Music Man) has stated in his blog today, this normally signifies the beginning of our summer break. However, I will be having rehearsals for Mixed Doubles throughout the summer; no rest for the wicked, and I think my wife would testify that I must have been very wicked, although probably NOT in a PAST life! Hopefully Richard will be able to stay awake for the concert tomorrow night, as he slept through most of our rehearsal on Monday night! Either you find us incredibly boring, or our singing is so wonderfully angelic that it brings on sleep Rich!

Hi Mark
I know what a hard road it is doing play rehearsals, concerts, maintaining a blog, etc, so I appreciate what you will be going through over the next few months. I am still recovering from last year which is why I need the sleep! Heard someone extolling the virtues of siestas for people in this country. As long as you don't exceed 20 minutes otherwise he said you would feel 'groggy'.

20 minutes you say???? Hmmm! I might try that, but maybe not tomorrow night, eh?!
