I have to say I've been enjoying a bit of a break. My wife and I had a fantastic time up in Scotland. We spend a lot of time there as I have said before and it is great to spend time with family.
We also took the time as it was our anniversary to go back to Castle Campbell in Dollar where we got married. It was so lovely to go back, the site staff remembered us and stood chatting to us for a while, and we didn't have to pay to go round the castle which we thought was a lovely gesture. We spent a while just sitting on a bench looking at the view across the valley, the same view that we had while we were saying our vows a year ago. Castle Campbell is somewhere that I spent a lot of time as a child and my wife fell in love with the place the first time I took her there. My parent's also got engaged there, so it is a place that is very special to us. It is amazing to have got married in such a special place and we both agreed that we are so pleased the we got married there, which is also somewhere that we know that we will return to time and time again.
With all that in mind it is back to work and back to the grindstone and more of the usual.
Since coming home it has been a myriad of different things, rehearsals, committee meetings, lessons and rehearsals. All this has been punctuated by a rather fun Murder Mystery Evening with close friends at the weekend, we all had an absolute hoot and left rather inebriated. We all laughed so hard, but funnily enough no-one lost their voices, I'm not sure if that's a good thing, that would be open to debate!
So I think it fair to say everything is back to normal, although I am now in ownership of a new diary to help me remember things!!!!! This was Laura's suggestion after double booking myself shortly before we went on holiday!
